Tomorrow's reminder..

Tomorrow, Wednesday Feb. 1st, 2017 at the confluence of Cordova Creek and the American River, hammerdirt California continues to collect data from the debris loads that are discharged into the American River, ( and of course, we collect, photograph, and then properly dispose of the "debris", or garbage, as we used to call it ). In addition to these actions, we also record water Ph values taken from both the creek, and the river from well above their point of confluence. This location monitoring activity has provided opportunity to observe and photograph the wildlife there, as it is always present. All this, and a major multi agency supported project to naturalize the creek also continues nearby. Add to this the flows and stages of the American River in response to the wet weather as of late, and the "creek campers" and you have a mid Wednesday mash up of careful environmental data collecting, wildlife observations, progress assessments and mirth! How can anyone pass up an opportunity to come out and witness the historical Hammerdirt at River Bend and Cordova Creek (II) ? But, if you do, you can always check back here tomorrow afternoon and see the results, with images like these...

all from previous CC surveys, see you tomorrow!
