Reminder for this Wednesday, January 4th, 2017

Thats right, 2017 will be ushered in with a bit of precipitation. Rain provides opportunity for data collection, (as does the absence of rain), and observation. The theme around here is, after all, water.
Tomorrow at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday the 4th of January 2017, at the confluence of Cordova Creek and the American River, our survey continues. All are welcome to come down and see the process of data collection, while at the same time, providing a new home for some wayward debris, (trash/recycle bin), or just check back here for the results. All actions are potentially significant, even the "small" ones, like walking that bag of garbage all the way to the dumpster, and then placing in there, instead of say, not doing this. Yes, not doing what we all know is  appropriate is also an action, just as ignoring things around us and in our environment is action: once aware of something, (like litter, pollution, our behavior, etc.), choosing to not acknowledge it is the act of ignorance, that is, to be ignorant involves the will. It is not the same as being unaware(challenge to Webster's definition aside), this is why "ignorance of the law is no excuse", right?

With all that said, lets make our actions meaningful.....after all, you are now aware. See you tomorrow, here are some pics from 2016...
